Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By God’s grace we had a busy month with various ministries. We are very thankful to you for your faithful prayer and fellowship with us in the work of the Lord in India. We are grateful to the Lord for all the blessings that He had showered on us. Through the pleasures and pains of life He is teaching us that we can trust Him for all the situations of life. We need to really believe all that we claim to believe about the Lord Jesus Christ, what He is doing in the world and His promises about the future. By the grace of God we need to take this struggle constantly and we need to view life from His perspective.

We had some interesting ministry opportunities. We had the privilege of having a one day conference for about 125 Pentecostal pastors. A friend of ours arranged this meeting and we could speak to them about the importance of the systematic study of the bible. Many of them agreed that bible is usually neglected in their teachings and preaching. We  could also impress upon them the importance and centrality of the gospel, which is the message of the cross. The Pentecostal world in India is also infected heavily by the prosperity gospel. Please pray that we might be able to start a BTCP program with them.

We had a useful bible study camp with the believers in Hyderabad(a city about 1000 miles away in the central part of India). We studied the controversial topic, the Spiritual Gifts, its use and abuse. We were challenged by the biblical emphasis on using our gifts for the common good of the church. In an individual oriented society, that emphasis is to be heeded again. The abuse of the gifts will be curtailed if we are reoriented to this focus.

The BTCP classes in general are going good. Sometimes it is difficult to reach all the places on a regular basis as other demands of ministries are to be met as well. Please continue to pray that we might prioritize our time and ministry to produce the best results for God’s glory. The Bible Training Institute is also going well and the students are showing better understanding and application of the word of God.

We are very thankful to the Lord for the spiritual growth and maturity that He is bringing in the churches. We have to be on constant vigil in the power of the Holy Spirit to maintain a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. Please continue to pray that there might be love, purity and unity in the churches.
