Because of time limitations related to my Brazil trip, there is no full class recap this week. Below I’ve pasted some slides and videos I used this week as well as my speaking notes in case they will be of some help.
Here is the ridiculous sermon in which Jesse Duplantis completely ignores reasonable rules of observation so he ends up with an outlandish interpretation of Genesis 2. The youtube video is located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDYyym5tD20 I’ve embedded it below so it will be easier to view on this WordPress site. – Prophecy and Scripture:
If someone is genuinely hearing from God, I want to know about it. If God is providing more revelation, we need to write it down and put inside the covers of the Bible. If God is giving extra-biblical revelation today, it is every bit as binding, authoritative and necessary for sanctification as everything else He’s said.
Importance of details:
How would the meaning change if you switch “a” for “the” in Mat:9:6, John 14:6, Acts 17:24?
The “What” see universalism and baptism of the dead in 1 Cor 15:22, 29
The “Where and When” see Israel at the crucifixion and resurrection. “In the fullness of time” “At just the right time.” Acts 2:5, Gal 4:4, Rom 5:6
